He joined Plastic Omnium in 1985, where he was successively Financial Controller, Finance Department Manager, and Chief Financial Officer, before becoming Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2001. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Compagnie Plastic Omnium in 2010, director in 2012 and co-Chief Executive Officer in 2015. Jean-Michel Szczerba is a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite.
