Acceleration in India As the world’s third-largest automotive market and a rapidly expanding industrial powerhouse, India is a strategic country; as such, it is vital to strengthen capabilities there. Producing 2.6 million vehicles(1) in 2025, India is a major player in the global mobility market, both as a growing domestic market and as a global manufacturing hub. Having operated in the country since 2007, OPmobility is now stepping up its investments to capitalize on this potential as effectively as possible. With a presence in India’s major automotive hubs, including Pune in the state of Maharashtra, OPmobility opened its fifth plant in India in October 2025: spanning 40,000 m2, the Badhalwadi site is the Group’s first plant in the country to combine production of exterior systems and energy storage systems within a single facility. To continue to strengthen its local presence, a new plant which will support the Group’s C-Power activities is also under construction in Kharkhoda, in the state of Haryana, with a planned opening in 2026.
