OPMOBILITY AND MIT HOST THE 3rd EDITION OF THEIR SYMPOSIUM IN DETROIT

On October 23, 2025, OPmobility and the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) will hold the third edition of their annual Symposium, for the first time in the United States. After two highly successful editions in Paris, this year’s event will take place at Newlab Detroit, a venture platform dedicated to mobility innovation, located in the heart of the newly refurbished Michigan Central.
For OPmobility, Detroit is more than a symbolic choice. It is where the Group opened its very first plant in the United States 30 years ago. A milestone that marked the start of a long-standing relationship with American customers. Today, the U.S. is OPmobility’s largest market and its leading contributor to revenue in 2024, making this symposium a strategic opportunity to further strengthen our ties with the region’s dynamic innovation ecosystem.
A key reference Summit in mobility innovation
Since 2023, the OPmobility x MIT Symposium has established itself as a key forum for dialogue and forward-looking reflection on the future of mobility. After exploring in 2024 how Artificial Intelligence can drive safer, more functional, and more resilient mobility, this new edition marks a decisive step: bringing our innovation ecosystems closer to those of North America, a strategic market that significantly contributed to OPmobility’s growth in 2024.
Mobility Fast Forward – Accelerating Innovation Across All Modes of Mobility
The 2025 edition will shine a spotlight on the technologies, partnerships and ecosystems shaping the next generation of mobility. Leaders from industry, academia, research, government, venture capital and startups will come together to exchange bold ideas and collaborate around a common goal: accelerating innovation across all forms of mobility — from road to rail, micromobility to autonomy, and beyond.
