The costs of the waste management are constantly increasing. The social actors have today to meet the challenge of the active management of the wastes in the interest of ecological coherence, fail-safe and economic.

With OptiSolutions, Plastic Omnium and its subsidiary Envicomp have developed a full range of equipment and IT solutions dedicated to collect and manage data linked with waste containerization and collection.

The French Communauté d’Agglomération “Rennes Métropole” (38 municipalities, more than 405 000 inhabitants) has organized the collect of the household wastes in three distinct flows: Residual household, Glass and packaging.

Since 2006 it manages to an active policy of development of door-to-door collection, with help of underground containers especially in the historic center of Rennes or during urban renewal or huge urban extension projects.

SULO France will supply and install 800 Iceberg® underground containers either for new establishment or substitution, completed by preventive and curative maintenance operations on these new or exiting containers.

A French first at Saint-Amand-Montrond.

The Saint-Amandois (Cher) Smirtom (61.000 inhabitants on 99 municipalities) was among the first to establish in 2010 the PAYT on its territory. Spurred by the success to the users, the Smirtom wished to extend the system to the communal housing. The 21st of June 2013 the first underground containers equipped with a system of controlled access controlled by a multifunctional badge were inaugurated in a housing unit of 520 apartments (”Le Parc du Vernet“).
