Two strategic acquisitions in the hydrogen field

With the acquisitions of Swiss Hydrogen and Optimum CPV, Plastic Omnium reinforces its positioning as an electric propulsion player.

After the Israeli company Ξ PO-CellTech was set up in 2016 in the field of fuel cells and the Group joined the “Hydrogen Council” steering committee, two acquisitions reinforce Plastic Omnium’s strategic positioning as a key player in the field of electric propulsion.
• Swiss Hydrogen, a Swiss company, specialized in the design and production of solutions for the management and control of energy in fuel cell systems dedicated to mobility,
• Optimum CPV, a Belgian company specialized, in the design and production of tanks in filament composite for the storage of pressurized hydrogen.

All these new businesses, which should be enriched in the coming months, will be combined into a new entity and Management, “Plastic Omnium New Energies”, within the Storage and Propulsion division – Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy.
