Plastic Omnium wins a bid for 225 underground containers in Gand, Belgium

Plastic Omnium strengthens its positions in Belgium by winning the Gand contract for the supply, computerized management and maintenance of 225 underground containers.

Plastic Omnium strengthens its positions in Belgium by winning the Gand contract for the supply, computerized management and maintenance of 225 underground containers.

This contract, worth a total of €3.3 million, brings the group’s market share to 35% of all underground containers in Belgium.

Plastic Omnium supports IVAGO, the inter-communal union for waste management in Gand and its surrounding areas, with its proactive environmental approach aimed at promoting the sorting of waste at source. Between 2016 and 2020, voluntary waste drop-off points will be installed to enable the local authority to bill 10,000 residents of the community for their unsorted residual waste.
