Plastic Omnium was awarded a special prize by Le Revenu for its shareholder relations in the CAC Mid 60 index as part of the 2022 Shareholder Relations Awards.

“This award recognizes the work done by our teams to support and inform our shareholders,” said Kathleen WANTZ-O’ROURKE, Group Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer.

On December 8, Kathleen WANTZ-O’ROURKE, participated in a Shareholders’ Meeting organized by Le Revenu at the Cité Mondiale in Bordeaux. She presented the Group’s activities, business lines and prospects, as well as its financial results and shareholder relations strategy to the public who attended this “Rendez-vous du Revenu”.

Plastic Omnium finalizes acquisition of Varroc Lighting Systems

Plastic Omnium announces it has completed the acquisition of Varroc’s automotive lighting systems (VLS) business from Varroc Engineering Limited. The €520 million transaction was adjusted downwards by €80 million to reflect weakened market conditions triggered by inflation and supply chain disruptions. VLS will be consolidated into Plastic Omnium’s accounts as of October 7, 2022.

Plastic Omnium to supply its full line-up of hydrogen products to Safra, France’s leading manufacturer of hydrogen-powered buses

Bus hydrogène - Plastic Omnium

As of 2023, Plastic Omnium will collaborate with Safra to support the development of its Hycity range of hydrogen-powered buses and retrofit service converting diesel coaches to hydrogen.

Plastic Omnium will supply Safra with type IV high-pressure hydrogen vessels for its new fleet of Hycity hydrogen buses destined for urban public transportation. The buses will feature the latest hydrogen technologies and will be fitted with six vessels to provide a minimum range of 350 kilometers.

Plastic Omnium builds U.S. hydrogen capacity to supply Ford Trucks with high pressure hydrogen vessels

Ford and Plastic Omnium are collaborating to deliver hydrogen vessels to support U.S. Department of Energy’s SuperTruck 3 program.

Plastic Omnium will develop and provide Ford with 700-bar type-IV Hydrogen High Pressure Vessels to equip its demonstrator fleet and generate real-life data for zero-emission trucks in the medium-duty sector by the end of 2023.

Plastic Omnium announces the closing of the acquisition of 100% of ACTIA Power, a division of the ACTIA Group, for an enterprise value of €52.5 million. The transaction is entirely self-financed. ACTIA Power will be consolidated in Plastic Omnium’s accounts as of 1st August 2022.
